fun in the kitchen...

Superbowl Sunday - a day for football, entertaining commercials and yummy food. We started our day a little early since princess Addie woke up around 7:30 am. Since daddy and Avery needed some additional zzz's because they are still a little under the weather, Addie and I decided to start working on the yummy food for today. On the menu: homemade cinnamon rolls, grandma's famous Nebraska chili and cornbread, so I enlisted our little chef (Addie, not Remy) to help. Addie was very anxious to help, was a good girl and washed her hands before we started cooking. 

She pored the beans...

Was sad because she made a little mess... but then I explained something that my Grandma Helen told me a long time ago. If you aren't making a mess when you cook, then you aren't doing it right!  

We then decided to organize the kitchen since I ordered a lazy susan (tough to find these days) for the spices. After a little organizing and reorganizing on Addie's part we finished the cupboard and it is B-E-A-utiful!!! My sister would be so proud, especially since we are eating what is in our cupboard!!! Now, let's just hope it staying this way. 

Oh, and then we discovered the dingle-hopper (The Little Mermaid)
