Manic Monday...

I wish it were Sunday, because that's my fun day! - Thank you Miss Lauper for providing the best lyrics ever using the word Monday!

Monday was awesome! Our day started around 7:50 where I woke up, got dressed, brushed my toofies and got the girls all settled for Miss Hannah. She watched the girls from ballpark 8:30 - 12 noon so Tony could go to work (not mandatory yet, but the man wants to hit the ground running) and I could go get my sweat on at the apartment gym, then run errands. I was super proud of myself to where I biked, ellipticalled (sp?) and treadmilled my little heart out. After spending about an hour at the gym, I went and had breakfast (yummy yummy!) and made a list of things that needed to get done (i.e. dry cleaning, grocery store, drop off donations, etc.). The productive little being that I am, scratched all the things off my list (what a feeling!) and was home by 11:45am. I love my girls dearly, but OMGosh totally forgot how easy it is to get in and out of expensive Safeway without an extra set of hands putting stuff like Depends in the shopping cart.
When I got home, Avery was sound asleep in her swing (love it!) while Addie and Hannah were singing and dancing. I captured this funny picture of Hannah being a "horsey" for Addie.

I unpacked everything and then made lunch for the girls, mac'n'cheese for Addie and sandwiches for us. Hannah did a great job of wearing Addie out because she was yawning and barely finished her mac before she curled up to catch some zzz's. She slept until 3pm which was wonderful because Tony got to work on stuff and I was able to finish some scrap pages I was working on... great afternoon.
I then got ready for girls night out at La Fondue where we all met for a "ta ta for now" dinner for Kristin since she is moving this week. Before I left, I made dinner for Tony (which took way to long to cook - sorry babe!) and we got the girls bathed and ready for bed. Dinner was such a ball! Patty, Rocio, Erin, Suzy, Angel, Kristin and I enjoyed tasty salads, yummy treats of blue tomato cheese, garlic chicken'n'veggies, topped off with melt in your mouth chocolate dipped cream puffs. Let's just say I am SO glad I got my work out in today!!! We chatted it up about old times, shared silly stories and talked about all the crazy things going on in the scrapbook industry. Before we knew it, we were closing the place down and it was almost 11pm. It was hard saying "ta ta for now" to Kristin because she was the one person who truly went out of her way and reached out to my family when we first moved out here. Fast forward - three years later she is a dear friend who I cherish and am thankful for. I will miss her but I know that this is a great opportunity for their family so... GO IRISH!
