brownstones, the green monster and blueberry beer...

Today was a day of fun. Armando and Jocelyn picked us up around 10 am, we came back to their adorable east coast condo where we got a chance to catch up. We got ourselves together and decided to take on the city of Boston. We went to the city, parked the car on this street filled with unique brownstones where each one had it's own personality. There were whitewashed with crown-molding, there were bright colored doors with high iron gates... and then I found this one. There was just something about this one that grabbed me. Perhaps it was the brick or maybe the fact that it was really starting to rain and I just loved how the rain fell on the arch way... none-the-less I had to whip out my camera and take a picture.

We continued our stroll as A & J filled us in on the layout of the land where we stumbled down to a place where "everyone knows your name."

We enjoyed hearing stories like the "making way for ducklings" story that originated in Boston and which famous people live on the streets that are so incredibly private that not even the UPS guy can make a delivery. We walked through this quaint park that was known as public garden where we were being silly and posed for a pic or two!

We walked through the park where we came across this amazing church. When I say amazing I mean it because the church bells were playing "amazing grace." Beautiful!!!

We made our way down the streets of Boston and it started to drizzle a few rain drops here and there. We walked down to the Fenway part of Boston where we got our picture taken by the baseball park - I learned that the "green monster" is not at all as scary as it sounds unless you are a professional baseball player.

We then stopped at a local pub for some comfort food and I promised myself I would branch out and try something local... and I did. It was called blueberry beer and it was SOOOOOOOOOO good! I know it sounds weird, but it hit the spot! Yummy yummy!

After we got our grub on we made our way to the subway so we could get Tony to Harvard in time to check in.

By this time it started pouring rain - in true Boston fashion. I LOVE THE RAIN!!! We rushed over the Cambridge, admired the Harvard campus and dropped Tony off. Jocelyn put it best as she said "awe, he is all grown up going to school." Go get 'um Tony!
