San Diego to Boston...

Yep, we are officially in Boston! For starters, the red-eye flight was surprisingly smooth - I will admit I had my doubts. As we were boarding the plane we heard this scuffle between the flight attendant and a high strung passenger. There were heavy words expressed by the passenger because he wasn't following the rules. I know my luck and all I kept thinking is "please oh please don't have this guy sit next to me." As he approached our row (Tony totally lucked out in getting the emergency exit row seat that has all the leg room) we just kept hoping that he would make his way to another row on the plane.  He stopped in front of our row, checked his ticket (I am totally holding my breath) and he moved past us - whew! We ended up sitting next to this nice grandma on her way home from visiting her grandkids. It was nice because we all agreed to sleep and to wake each other up if our snores got too loud! We all fell asleep soon after take-off and I didn't wake back up until we had about 35 minutes left of the flight. It was awesome.

We got off the plane, checked where our next gate was and made our way across the terminal. I was on the hunt for a nice, discrete place to use "old trusty" but what we discovered was that not all outlets work at old airports. Where was Big Ben when I needed him? We were in Philly after all!!! So... I decided to take a 30 minute break in the special assistance bathroom. I felt guilty for all of 2 minutes before I recognized that it was 6:20 in the morning and the only people in our terminal are those three guys drinking in the bar... so I figured if there was someone who really needed the bathroom with the only working outlet that I could find in the entire terminal... then I would be happy to move. No worries, no one needed the room and I was able to relieve the pressure.

Now it was time to get on the plane for Boston. I must say that Tony and I had to be pretty entertaining on the second leg of our trip. I KNOW I was snoring like a hacksaw and poor Tony was playing football in his sleep (I believe it is called a "run-block" play) and twitched... hitting the seat in front of him. The poor guy was a good sport and Tony didn't think he hit the seat that hard. It was hard enough to wake me up so we will leave it at that. Overall, what we have learned from this experience is we need sleep and if you are a smart passenger you will sit far, far away from the Wragges.
