out-of-order...

Nope, I am not writing to tell you that this blog is out of order... just my posting. I am having one of those scatter brained days where I start 5 different projects and don't finish a single one of them. Here are a few highlights...

horsey - We picked up Toy Story and Toy Story 2 because we were a little tired of Cars and Nemo. In the movie Woody has a pet horse and of course our darling monkey-see-monkey-do toddler decided that she wanted to play horsey too! So, Tony saddled up and carefully had Addie crawl on his back and they rode around the living room. She used one of the pots for a cowboy hat and the back of Tony's shirt for the reins. After about sixty or seventy laps it was high-time for them to ride off to the watering hole (i.e. the bathroom for bathtime) saying "eeee ha" on the way. Ya'll come back now, ya hear!

push ups using Addie as resistance - This was hilarious! Because Tony played horsey with Addie earlier in the evening, when he tried to do his push ups in the living room she thought it was time to saddle up again. She crawled up on his back again and giggled on the way up and on the way down. I guess it was a great challenge for Tony - that is trying to keep a straight face.

seeing an angel - I often wonder what goes on in our little lady's head. When she smiles in her sleep is she dreaming about a pacifier? When she wakes up in a fright was she dreaming about going through that "tunnel" again? (luckily, we all know that will NEVER EVER happen again!) Well, I decided after looking at these pictures that she must have seen an angel.

It was just the two of us this afternoon and she was just happier than a jay-bird, gazing around the room as if she was tracking something. She would smile ever-so-slightly, look focused/confused and then her eyes would soften... as if she answered her own question. I watched her do this for some time before it donned on me to get the camera.

bills - I think that paying bills would be so much more enjoyable if they arrived as nicely decorated as this Arizona gas bill.

This picture was taken a few days ago - I was working on stuff at the kitchen table and Addie took the opportunity to get creative with the bills. Before we knew it, she had out the markers and stickers, going to town! The child's inner artistic voice said to use the gas bill as her canvas to create something special - a smile on her mommy's face! I love her red hair - it is wild, it is crazy... it is 100% Addison Taylor Wragge!
