fun at HARVARD...

Today was a great day. I was uber proud of myself for getting from Armando's to HARVARD to pick Tony up using the made up directions that went something like this...

Adams is always right

Lincoln was left handed

Yum Yum = Right Right

Don't worry if that didn't make sense, the point is using that information I was able to navigate through the Boston area to pick up my hubby who has been studying at HARVARD. It took me a good hour to get there but once I was on campus, I got to play. I took a few pictures, picked up some coffee, and grabbed a table by the window so I could finish my book. I highly recommend "The Last Lecture" and it should go up there with the other must reads like "Who Moved My Cheese" and "The 5 Love Languages." As I was sitting in the coffee shop, I did my fair share of people watching. I was pleased to see so many strangers doing nice things for one another. I saw a young student drenched in HARVARD apparel help an elderly woman across the street, I saw people smiling at one another and others holding the door open for strangers. I know these may sound like tedious things, but it was so nice to see such random acts of kindness.

Tony called right as I was finishing up the second to last chapter - good thing because tears had started to well up in my eyes {read the book and you will know EXACTLY what I am talking about} so I packed up my stuff and headed off to meet him at the bridge. I am thankful Armando took me for a quick tour day before yesterday because I didn't feel so lost and I actually knew where I was going. I met up with Tony {so good to see him} and we explored a little bit. We ran into another one of the players from Seattle and he told us about this place to eat lunch call Pinocchio's.

They are famous for their cheeseburger sub sandwiches and once he said that Tony was sold! {Andy L. you would have loved this sandwich!} It was a very tasty lunch but there was one thing that caught my eye... let's just say you know you are at HARVARD when you see this:

Upper left hand reads: FOR ALL CHEM STUDENTS, HERE'S YOUR PIZZA

We went sight seeing after lunch and took pictures here and there. It was a great day but time was ticking and we needed to make sure we were back home around 4:30 pm. So, we walked to the HARVARD Business School to pick up Tony's suitcases and check out. I got to see his room - let's just say it felt like a room on a ship because it was probably 8 x 12 and that included the bathroom, bed and built in study desk. HARVARD students do a lot of studying!!! We packed up his things, made it to the train and just got home a little while ago.

DEPART, TO SERVE THEY COUNTRY AND THY KIND
Aren't we cute???

The green edge of this building reminded me of those carriers at the bank drive thru's.

I took Tony to see John Harvard so he could rub the golden shoe for luck too!
