milestone for Avery...

SHE ROLLS OVER!!! 

Look out world, she is one roll closer to taking you on... and in a big way. The last few days she has been really close, I would say 7/8ths of a turn and just hadn't figured out where her arm should go. Tonight, she officially figured it out, and with a smile on her face!!! 

It is hard to believe that she is almost 4 months old?!?!?!?!? It got me thinking, what sort of things did we do with Addie up to this point that we haven't done with Avery??? So, I went through Addie's scrapbook {so proud of myself for at least finishing her 1st year!} and saw pictures of all the impromptu photo shoots. I guess the trade off is less of those cheesy shoots, more documented stories courtesy of this blog!  

Addie has been doing really well with her potty training the last couple of days. She insists on running around with hardly anything on & the Elmo potty has been moved to the living room, but I figured give a little, take a little... as long as she is willing to use it, once she gets into a pattern/habit then we can work on relocating the potty back to the bathroom where it belongs. She is really "in tune with her body" and knows when it is time to go wee wee. Her routine is to sit, listen for it, shout out "Yay! I did it," wipe {still working on how to} and then she carries the potty into the bathroom, disposes and flushes saying "bye wee wee" then washes her hands. She has done this 6 or 7 times since yesterday morning and I am so impressed! Addie even did it 100% by herself while I was changing Avery. All of a sudden I heard this flushing and she was being a big girl and disposing of it. 

We are SOOOOOO proud of you Addie!!!
