I know that we are residents of AZ and we should be used to the heat, but holy cow - this is CALIFORNIA where it is supposed to be fun in the sun not melt in the sun. It hit 94 degrees today {according to the avalanche} and it surely felt like it.
After dinner, Addie decided she wanted to get out of the heat and go swimming again. Tony got her all ready and as they were headed for the pool, I had to snap these shots! You have to understand - the toddler personality that went with this polka dot suit was borderline diva-ish. She was blowing kisses, putting things in her bag and straightening her "gaaasses."

While they went swimming, Avery and I decided to watch Y&R {what on earth is happening on this show???} and make giggle faces. She was in such a happy mood and had no problem rolling around on her blanket. She is fine on her tummy until her drool soaks the spot she is laying in. The lyrics to the song "baby blue" by George Strait come to mind...

we're enjoying our surprise heat wave, too.
we've been swimming 3 days straight now.
and i took them by myself today after school, and it went pretty well. mari was swimming to strangers, but thankfully, they were moms, and totally understand about keeping your eye on both kids. and how hard it can be.
