emotionally perfect...

A friend of mine used the term "emotionally perfect" to describe her beautiful photos {very gifted photographer} that didn't turn out 100% the way she wanted them to... and I guess you could say that phrase has stuck with me. I love that phrase... just think about it for a minute, emotionally perfect.

 I look at the pictures I have taken of my beautiful family and all I can think is how blessed I am... blessed for the laughter that we hear everyday, blessed for the tears that role down a cheek when things don't go their way {child or parent}, blessed to see the look on her face when she discovers something new, blessed for the time we get to spend with each other... so thankful!

Here is a picture of Miss Addie from her nap today. She was so fighting to go down for her afternoon snooze but when she did finally stop counting sheep {1, 2, 3...} and close her eyes she was out like a like but yet still had Buzz in her Kung-Fu grip. Okay, so maybe not Kung-Fu but you certainly could not move Buzz or she totally would have woken up!

Cue the music:

These boots were made for chewin', that's just what I'll do, these boots were made for chewin', watch out or I'll drool all over you...

Bubble hair-do's, trying to get those little knots out!

Doesn't she look like she is channeling George Washington or have I just been watching too much History Channel?

Playing a little XBOX with daddy... "no daddy, Addie said to use this button"

Sleeping peacefully... {by the way - it is almost 10:00 am}

Aww...Nicole, you are so great. I love how you have continued to document the daily life and love of your family. You have captured hundreds of emotionally perfect photos. That's what I will strive to do next time I shoot you guys!
