Dr. Addie

Good evening all!! Today was a very busy day and I personally feel like some many of the things on my "To Do" list can officially be scratched off. We were able to sleep in (thank you Addie!) until around 8 or so and then we were busy with back to back doctor appointments. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE!!! Our first appointment was at Stanford for a non-stress test on little Avery. She passed the test with flying colors and her heart rate is very strong. We then had another test to check the fluid levels, where the results weren't as great as we had hoped...however there is no need to worry. The doctors just said I should come in for testing twice a week and that I should rest more...or as Tony put it "relax and sit on my butt more." The nice thing is that my mom is still in town and she has been a big help in scratching those little things off of my list. Tony and I then went for a quick bite and then off to another ultrasound. Avery is about 6 1/2 lbs. and is measuring at around 40 weeks! The doctor turned to Tony and said I might be headed for a C-section since we still technically have 4 weeks left and her head is so big. The really great news is that he was able to find more pockets of fluid which made us feel more at ease. Also, Avery can come whenever since I am officially 36 weeks. We are praying we can hang on past the away game in Miami (Dec 14th) and anytime after that we are good to go!!! After our day-o-doc appts, we came home, took a nap as a family (Tony and Addie napped, I watched TV and rested while helping mom with the cradle) and then went to Babies R Us. We did a heck of a lot of shopping in 3 hours, WE GOT SO MUCH ACCOMPLISHED!!!
Here is a pic that depicts our day of doctor appointments...thanks to Rachel for taking this pic!
