Here are two precious pictures of my darling angels, sleeping soundly in their beds... I am so blessed!
We have been a family of four a few days now and we are doing our best to adjust to our new life. I must say, all those ladies who said how busy you are with two little ones were 100% correct. For the first couple of days I felt that once I had Avery all settled, then it was onto Addie and playing with her, then it was back to Avery, then back with Addie to help her get down for a nap, etc. I know it is a lot of work, but I am honestly loving every minute of it!!! I pray to God every night for patience and strength. I am truly blessed to have my family here - they keep Addie very very busy... which is the reason why she is doing so well.
Yesterday we put Avery in her cradle so I could play with Addie. After a couple of minutes she got up and started saying "oh baby... oh baby." She was on a mission to find her baby sister. It has been quite cute, she will come up to Avery and touch her toes or give her a kiss on the head. She has tried to hold her once, but Avery was eating so Addie waited patiently.
My liquid gold came in yesterday and of course that means it is time to whip out old trusty (aka the pump) and as Tony says "Come on Bessie, it's time to get milkin'!" I waited too long with Addie to use old trusty and I am NOT making that mistake with Avery. Given Tony's background, I am totally over the whole my-husband-will-think-of-me-as-a-cow thing. Since the milk is in, Miss Avery is sleeping four hours at a time... which in turn means I can spend more time with Addie and more time sleeping. I think that the wee small hours of the morning will be reserved for pumping and blogging!!! I will say that I was very productive this morning and last night's four hours of solid sleep was like those 12 hours you were able to get in college (back in the day when you had no responsibilities and time to just lounge).
