Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, spending it with family and friends. We have so much to be thankful for...here is my short list:
-Avery is healthy, I had to go into Stanford yesterday for a non-stress test and she did great. I will have to go every week until her arrival just to make sure she is a happy camper. The nurses were actually wondering why I was there since she did so well on the test, which made me feel much more at ease. I guess this "two vessel cord" isn't stopping the little Wragge in my belly! 4 weeks and counting!!!
-Family! We miss our family, especially this time of year. Please know that we are all thinking of you and miss you terribly!
-Friends! So many people have touched our lives and we are so blessed!
-Addie! She is my favorite turkey!!!
-Last be certainly not least...my husband!!! I love him so much and appreciate/respect/adore everything he does for me and our girls!
We are getting ready for our annual O-line & friends Thanksgiving feast which will take place this evening. Here is a pic of me and Avery prepping the bird last night. To say the least, it was a little harder to butter the bird when you have a big-o-healthy baby in your belly. Notice how my belly was buttered just as much as the bird!
Addie woke up this morning early, around 7am. She was saying "Mom" and her tone was something along the lines of "hurry up, it is turkey day and I have things to do!" GIGGLES!!!
She was bouncy and ready to go, so we went to the store first to pick up odds and ends, then to pick up the pies (i got smart and ordered Marie Calendars). We then came home and "wiggled" for awhile, talked to friends and family until the 1st bird had to go in the oven (I am making one full 20lb bird and two 3lb breasts). She then got ahold of all the extra aluminum pans that we had out and then started "cooking" with them. Before I knew it she was in the turkey pan with the gravy mixes and ground sage. I knew this was a total photo op so I grabbed the stuffing and started taking tons of pics.
"Okay mom, gruncle joel said to use this on the bird but make sure to follow his recipe exactly!"
Then, it was Choo Choo Soul time. I am working on uploading a video of Addie dancing and singing to "Animals on the Farm" but am having technical difficulties. I must say that Choo Choo Soul is kinda catchy and I really like how the ABC's are done. Hope you have a great turkey day and many blessings!!!
