Today was one of those catch up days... it needed to be since my day started with a greeting from Addie at 5 am. I heard these little steps and look up to hear this sweet voice say "mor-ing." I got up with Addie, Tony slept in with Avery, and we went in the living room to watch movies. I knew she didn't sleep very well because of her cough so I was hoping she would fall asleep on the couch. No dice! She wanted to watch Ratatouille, Cars, princess shows... you name it! We started with Ratatouille and went from there. We did watch a new movie (thank goodness!) and we are struggling saying the title correctly... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She loves the dancing and the songs... note to self buy more movies/dvds/programs like this! It was fun because Avery was in the baby bjorn and I was able to dance a little with Addie. It was fun dancing with my girls while daddy got some much needed shut eye.
We were also able to set up our web cam (sorry, still getting used to the mac) and visit with family for a little while this morning. It was fun - I appreciate the advances in technology! Tony woke up and started watching CNN, that totally bored Addie so she decided she was going to take a much needed snooze.
While she was sleeping, Tony was catching up on the headlines with Avery snuggled in his arms, I attempted to clean the back bedroom. I should have taken a nap, but the though of scratching a few things off my list took priority. I also touched base with a few friends {it is always nice to hear what everyone is up to}, filled out a couple pages in Avery's baby book, sketched a few ideas for some scrapbooking projects (yes- I will start posting more of my work) and knocked out a few normal chores (laundry, dishes, etc) It was a nice day, followed by an amazing dinner (chicken, grandma h's corn casserole, green beans - yummy!) and then I was off to another pre-school open house. This one was much better than the last one I visited. I was impressed with their responses to my questions and I promise I didn't go all "LAW & ORDER" on them. They were very knowledgeable and the classrooms were great. I am still in the research mode but so far this one tops my list. I then got home and we gave Avery a bath and played with Addie until she needed to go to bed. She didn't fight us on it today, in fact she hinted she wanted to go to sleep early. That's good because she needs the rest.
Notes:
-Please pray for both our girls, I am afraid since Addie is very affectionate and loves to give kisses... Avery might have received one of those germy kisses today
-Happy 2 hours early birthday to Davey!!!
-Erin, you are the best and I love ya!
