The lyrics from that famous Beach Boys song "I wish they all could be California girls" has been running through my head today because Avery is an official California girl (we picked up her birth certificate today)! Actually obtaining the certificate was interesting, but the important thing is that we have everything in order. Here is a pic of our "smiling" California beauty... I grabbed Addie's tutu skirt with the petals for the background.
As Avery and I spent the morning running errands, Addie and Tony went to Little Gym to get their wiggles out. I was thankful that Little Gym started up again because one hour of running, jumping, bouncing there equals a solid 3 hour nap. We had a peaceful afternoon... caught up on laundry, thank you notes, etc. Tony spent time on his remote control car (it is like a real car because it can go 60mph!) and I watched my shows on DVR while the girls were asleep.
Tonight, Addie watched movies with Tony while Avery and I surprised the girls at the scrapbook shop since it was crop night. I had Avery in her little cow outfit to keep her warm and the girls just ate her up. They are such a lovely group of ladies, always so warm and welcoming. After the girls took turns holding Avery, she made a "cow-pie" and then it was time to go. It was good timing too because we could have gone bowling too (if you know what I mean!)
P.S. Thank you for all the prayers for Addie. She is just fine, her eye is back to normal and Poison Control even called this morning to check on her. Rule of thumb - when in doubt, call in the experts!!! That, and make sure there is nothing on the counter!!!
