We have been busy spending quality time with each other this weekend. Saturday was a big day because Addie had her first photo shoot with her fellow ballerinas and the girls were A D O R A B L E!!! They were dancing all around the courtyard, making silly faces and of course, Addie decided to study the ceiling during the team photo. The brilliant photographer did a great job with the girls and even got Addie to smile on cue! I forgot my camera, so some of the other moms promised to send them to me. I will upload them later on.
After we finished up at dance, us girls headed up to PMP to pick up my garage girl scrap stuff. The papers we are working with are so cute and I can't wait to scrap using them. As I was talking and picking out coordinates, Addie says "mom, mom" to which I replied "Okay Addie, Mom's almost done" and her response was "mom, mommy mom, uckie-woo woo!" I checked her and she hadn't gone yet so I passed Avery off and went with Addie to the restroom. She was a super big girl and did it for the first time in a public place!!! YAY!!! Thanks to Suzy for letting us use her bathroom!!!
Tony did a little shopping for Avery and picked up a new jumper/entertainment toy for her. She loves to be up and looking around so this safari spin-around-entertainer is perfect! I will say there was some major hesitation at first, but once Addie started playing with the "B-nana" hanging from the palm tree Avery was hooked {Awe, older sister influencing little sister}. I took some sweet father/daughter pictures of Avery and Tony while Addie was snoozing... there are so many {unedited} favorites, I am having a hard time choosing!
This happens every season and I should be better about it but I am such a SUCKER!!! Gymboree is having a ginormous sale on their cute mix-n-match stuff and I went nuts! I am thankful that my husband doesn't come down on me hard so I have to punish myself and... I am grounded, bigtime!!! I was like a kid was eating the entire box of twinkies and just couldn't stop. My rationale... "we are potty training so $5 shorts that are this darn cute...." The girls are going to wear watermelons ALL SUMMER LONG... when in doubt, watermelon... what are the Wragge's doing this weekend... I dunno, but I am sure the girls will be wearing WATERMELONS... With that being said, don't be surprised if the postings for June, July and August are 90% watermelons {well, at least Addie anyways!}
Tomorrow is Addie's first day of preschool and it is time for me to go get organized so I don't forget the important stuff like sunscreen! Please say prayers for me - it is a wonderful step in Addie's life but as her mom, I am having to realize that my little red head is now a big girl ready for "s-000L." Oh, I almost forgot this little gem - morning photo shoot in the girls' Easter present from my mom. She embellished these jean jackets for the girls and they have little lady bugs on them!!!
