Avery @ 5 months...

4 or five??? she is laughing because her mommy doesn't know...

 

I kid, I kid... consider it a small case of denial because I am having a hard time realizing that we have had this little blessing in our lives for five months now!!! And, in looking at my past posts... I totally missed her 4 month {bad mommy, slap on the wrist with a wet noodle} update. So, this means you get what comedian Jeff Foxworthy calls the twofer special - two for one special. 

4 months

*weighs 15lbs, 10 oz 

*shared special "sisterly" moments with Addie {the good, the bad and one ugly}

*officially wearing 6 months clothes, pj's are in the 6/9 month category

*can grip her own pacifier, take it in and out of her mouth as she pleases

5 months

*rolls over without any hesitation

*starting to sleep in her big-girl-crib for naps and they seem to be getting longer

*eating 7 oz easy in the morning, rest of the time between 5 - 6 oz

*going to bed around 10:00pm sleeping in until 9:00 am most of the time

*her blue eyes become the size of doughnuts when she sees her bottle being warmed up... as if she thought they were doughnuts {yes, she is that smart!}

*she is filling out her little body beautifully... her thighs are getting "baby chunky" which makes me want to eat her up! 

*giggles and giggles and giggles... 

*pulled Addie's hair for the first time {on accident} and Addie gave her the look of "Oh no you didn't" but quickly mellowed out

*working towards mastering our tripod stance {baby version of the 3-point stance} but have no problems doing a face plant as long as it isn't in the grass {what is it with my girls and not liking grass at first?}
