potty training, take two...

So we were going to attempt potty training again this weekend however she is still not sure about her hand yet which makes it difficult. We have been watching Elmo Potty Time in the morning, she knows the songs and is starting to pick it up. For example, yesterday she was in tune with her body (segment from show) and she grabbed her pants with one hand, me with the other and we went to sit on the big girl potty. YAY! I am so proud of her and even though she didn't go, she tried. The cutest part was she sat on the potty so long that she fell asleep!!!

UPDATE ON AVERY...

Yesterday was also a good day for Avery. She slept from 3:30 am until 12:30 pm... she needed every second of that rest! Avery also was calm, back to her normal type behavior of eating and whimpering if she needed to be fed, changed, burped, etc. This was such a relief! My goal was to do whatever is necessary to keep her happy which meant anticipating her next move and it worked {i.e. having burp cloths, pacifiers, pillows, blankets, bottles, etc. all prepped and laid out ahead of time so if she was hungry I didn't have to gather beforehand} That may sound like something moms already do, but I needed to fine tune {and step up} my timing since I also had Addie. The afternoon went smoothly and before we knew it, daddy was home! 

A SPECIAL THANK YOU...

Amanda and Emily - they played with Addie all morning and kept her so busy that I even got to take a 2 hour nap! Addie crashed at around noon and didn't wake up until just before 4 pm! Girls, you are such a blessing!
