abq to phoenix...

We made it home home safe and sound. We left Monday morning at 6:00 am, but forgot the stroller so we had to go back to my parents house. Good thing we were only 2 miles out, but still. The rental mini van was packed to the gills (seriously, we have too much stuff) and we headed out west to Phoenix. The girls were really good - Addie watched Toy Story, took a small 20 minute nap and then watched Toy Story again! Avery stuck to her normal routine (sleep, burp, poop, repeat) which was nice. We made it home around 2:30 pm, so it only took us about an hour or so longer than usual. We ordered a few pizzas and had a few friends over for dinner to catch up. Everyone was shocked to see how much Addie has grown and enjoyed holding our newest addition. Pictures are yet to come since I don't know where the cord is (again!) so prepare for a future mega-ginormous-huge picture dump at a future date.

It is so nice to be home! I missed the little things like my red dishes or the tempur-pedic bed...so comfy! We spent today running errands, going to appointments, etc. My dear friend Randi was sweet enough to "addie-sit" for us so we could get things done so much faster with just one curtain climber! (thanks R - you are the best!) The rest of the day was spent packing (again!) and getting the house wrapped up again. It is so nice to be home!!!

So, we leave tomorrow - catching a flight (again!) to go up to Nebraska for a wedding and we are really looking forward to spending some time on the farm. Wish us luck because the weather was -5 degrees below earlier this week. Perhaps we will bring the lovely sunshine, warm weather with us!

Wishing you a blessed day!
