Our second to last leg of our trip went incredibly smooth. We had to wake up at o'dark thirty, packed up the van, cleaned up the house and off we went to the airport. Tony dropped us off at skycap so the girls and I went on ahead inside the airport and Tony went to return the rental car. I kept Addie busy with stickers (pictures yet to come) while Avery slept.
I LOVE SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!!! They were friendly, they were helpful, they were early, they were awesome! Getting on and off the plane was so easy and the flight attendants were so on top of things... getting us extra apple juice for Addie, hot water for Avery, coloring books for Addie, etc. SOUTHWEST AIRLINES ROCKS!!!
We arrived in Omaha, NE a whole 30 minutes early which was great because we were able to get on the road that much earlier. There was snow on the ground but it wasn't nearly as chilly as we thought it was going to be. The girls were great through this whole process. Honestly, Avery slept most of the day. Addie was so tired she took a snooze about 10 seconds after she was in her car seat. We stopped for our traditional Runza (a Nebraska ground beef & grilled onions treat on yummy bread) and headed up north to the farm. We only had to make two stops which was great and we made it to Grandma & Grandpa's about 3:30 pm. It was a long day but it was so nice to get settled and know we are going to be in one spot for more than 48 hours. We had "Wragge tacos" for dinner and then all of us were ready for bed by 8:30 pm. Addie and Avery crashed early in Tony's arms... then slept most of the night. Addie woke up about midnight confused because she didn't know where she was and then Avery woke up around 4:00 am because she was starving! After taking care of the girls, I crawled into bed (Addie moved into my spot but kept it nice and warm for me) and it was nice to get some shuteye!
