Our day started at 4am... yep, in the wee small hours of the morning... only Carly Simon wasn't there to sing the lovely ballad that early {bummer!} So since Addie was bright eyed & bushy tailed when it was still dark outside I tried every trick I had up my sleeve {I will be honest, I was wearing short sleeves which means very few tricks} to get her back to bed/asleep/I would settle for the couch at this point... but nothing, nope, nada, no way no how was this wide-awake red head going to close her eyes anytime soon... so, I resorted to what any uber-tired mother would do and turned on "Horton Hears A Who" and dosed off on the couch while she was entertained by the boob-tube. {bad mommy or just sleep deprived???}
Avery woke up around 6 am to which Tony went to go get her... sweet husband/daddy, nice thought but being that it was his only day to really truly sleep in... I sent him back to bed and made myself a cup of coffee. Avery downed her formulatte {I was so tired that I was one pour away from using the formula as the creamer in my coffee... gross, could you imagine???} as I nursed my coffee all the while Addie is prancing around the living room saying "we are here, we are here, we are here!" with her toy pot and plastic block. Now if you have seen the movie Horton Hears A Who this makes sense, if not... skip it.
We had the ladies luncheon today which was very nice. It is always great to see those lovely faces outside of the stadium and it was great getting to catch up with everyone. I am very blessed to be part of such a great group of women. Thank you to all that worked so hard to make the event so special!
Next on our agenda was a community relations event at the park with Sourdough Sam and some of the players. The families from the Rivermark community were all invited and the 49ers put on a great BBQ/picnic. A couple of the players were running the drills while others were playing tag... and then there was the best event ever - the water balloon fight! It was hysterical to see kids from ages 2 to 10 just go at it. I could have whipped out my camera but I am following a dear friend's advice and just left the camera in the bag and ENJOYED THE SPECIAL MOMENT! Addie didn't get soaked but she sure had fun running around with those water balloons. One was red and the other was "hot pink" and when it came time to throw them, they maybe went flying 6 inches in front of her but she didn't care... to her, those balloons went miles because the look on her face was 100% PURE JOY!
What is that adorable thing Addie is wearing???
OMGOSH... it is a cheerleading uniform!!! So thankful for pictures... just so I have proof that yes, she did wear a cheerleading uniform and yes she did cry, but once we got to our final destination {the park} she suddenly could care less what she was wearing and was 100% focused on playing with the other kids!

PS. These photos were taken with my LITTLE camera... not the BIG one... I had a long talk with T.LLOYD about the difference between the LITTLE & BIG. Be sure to check out the awesome pics he took from the event on 49ers.com
