these are big milestones that our little Avery Lynn decided to tackle in one day!!!
Avery was a little cranky, tired and in need of a nap when she started up her "Aver-ish" {sounds she makes as if she is carrying on a conversation and her left hand is bobbing back & forth on her mouth} and clear as day we both heard her say "mama." Sure enough... I went over super excited to hear that little word out of Avery and she just lit up! Guess she's gonna be mama's girl??? I am only kidding {in all fairness, Addie said "dada" first}!
In reference to my last post... I am REALLY not ready for this! Avery is growing up so fast... Addie was playing with Avery over by the toy piano. I was picking up toys {it looked like a farmer's market blew up in our living room with all the play food scattered everywhere} and when I looked up, there Avery was... STANDING playing on the piano!!! I hollered for Tony, he came running with the camera... and then said in his daddy voice "yeah, she'll be walking by October!"
UPDATE: Late this evening I was reading the Pottery Barn Kids catalog on the couch. Avery wanted the catalog {I assume she wanted to do a little shopping} so badly she could taste it! She pulled herself up to where she was standing against the couch & then took a couple steps then plopped down with a giggle. She got right back up & tried again!
