Who says farm life is all work and no play?
We arrived in Omaha on Monday morning, made the three hour drive north (i am using my directions because saying Right and Left doesn't really get you far up here) to Norfolk. We stopped there to eat lunch with Tony's mom Deb and pick up a few things at the SuperWalmart. I LOVE SUPERWALMART!!! You can get everything and I mean everything there in one stop!!!
After shopping, we took highway 81 all the way up to Tony's family farm where Addie was in heaven. She could see the cows which she now refers to them as Moo Cow {thanks dad!} She pointed out the trees, the *tac-tors* and most importantly she gave her grandma a hug right away. It was really nice... the weather was great, visiting with family was so entertaining! The farm stories I hear just crack me up!!!
While Tony has been farming with his dad, the girls and I have kinda been laying low while we are here in NE... Keli & Drew came up Tuesday night and stayed until yesterday evening. Drew and Addie are buddies - they picked up right where they left off last year. The played bubbles, chased each other around, wiggled, took a bubble bath (so funny!!) and danced the night away! Avery would watch them with this certain look that was saying "just wait until next year guys when I can play too!" It was so great spending time with them!
The one thing you always experience when you are here is yummy food, great desserts, entertaining stories and great hospitality!
