I didn't realize how fast the week went...
Monday: we went to the park for a little picnic with Rachel and her precious pup, Layla. It was a little chilly out but we had a great time. Rachel made these gourmet sandwiches with yummy pasta salad and fruit. She is such a great cook - I would have picked up KFC but she went all out!!! All her time & efforts are greatly appreciated!!!
Tuesday: we needed our daddy fix, so we went to the last part of afternoon practice. We loaded up the golf cart with the Wragge bus {aka stroller} and Fred escorted us to the tent where Addie bounced all over the place. It was nice because it was just us, but then again... it was just us which meant she didn't have "Liv-ia" or "nAAAt-lie" or "gAAA-bie" to play with. She kept saying each little girl's name followed by "all gone???" with a sad little face. We got to visit with Daddy for about 20 minutes then we headed home to watch, yep... you guessed it! BUMBLE BEE!
Wednesday: we had breakfast with my sweet friend Camie {such a doll} where we caught up/chatted it up and then talked about some fun filled plans for charity work! Avery and I then ran some errands, picked up Addie from preschool where we had a little accident but she is making MAJOR progress! Later that evening, we picked my sister up from the airport {happy birthday CJ} and were on our way to Rachel's when we got a phone call from Daddy that he was out of meetings early so we rushed home to see him. THE GIRLS JUST ATE HIM UP!!!
Thursday: we took Addie to preschool, became mall walkers since it was pouring rain outside {i heart the bay area!} and then did a little damage at Williams Sonoma with my birthday gift cards. We then came home and enjoyed CJ's birthday cake only to discover I am allergic to red velvet cake {BUMMER!}
Friday: was a typical morning followed by a fun filled afternoon hanging out with Rachel, baking cookies and going to daddy's afternoon practice. It was so nice having CJ with me at practice! There were a couple other families there which was fun, but Addie wasn't into the socializing... instead, she wanted to go up and down the new training hill which she referred to as "mou-tain." You could hear Addie calling for Carleigh and saying "c'mon Caw'wee, this way." Poor Carleigh went up and down the hill so many times! Once practice was over we got to visit with daddy.
Saturday: BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!! We got up and went to morning practice to see Daddy onto to get a kiss and a sweaty hug {hey, we'll take 'um!!!} and then he was off to chill in the ice tub. It was super hot outside! After practice we took the girls home to be with Miss Hannah while Carleigh and I ventured off to the the Scrapbook Expo to meet Janice. Okay... to be completely honest... I am rationalizing the shopping damage done at the Expo is due to my lack of scrapping over the past few months! I picked up kits {yes, Erin... I said kits!} from Rusty Pickle and boy oh boy did I have a "pickelish day!" {FYI - that is their slogan} I then discovered new metal on metal techniques and then found the ribbon fairy place, then discovered Boxer Scrap Productions... you get the picture! My sister got her shop on and found some cool stuff for her classroom/cake decorating. We then went to afternoon practice, got to visit with old friends and then went out to eat at Pedros to get our spice fix. Delicious fajitas and tacos... Avery tried refried beans and LOVED them!
Sunday: we had a lazy morning... we had talked about going to church but with both girls slightly snotty little messes {the not feeling well "snotty" not the sassy "snotty"} we decided to pick up yummy posh bagel and hang at the apartment. The girls loved waking up to their daddy being home!!!
