girls weekend wrap-up...

Regarding my girls weekend.... I am speechless!

Not because I don't have anything to say {umm... yeah, always the talker} it is just that I don't have the right words to really truly describe just how awesome my weekend was! We laughed, we cried, we ate an undisclosed amount of Milk Duds, we cropped our little hearts out {I was 8 for 9 on finished projects!!!} and then did some shopping! We HEART Hobby Lobby and hope that the rumor is true regarding them opening up shop in the bay area! The classes were AMAZING - we learned so much and walked away with new techniques and "Tim-isms." It was a very moving experience and by Saturday night everyone in that banquet hall was moved by the touching words of the guest speaker {Melanie - you rock!} and her lovely family. After an exciting round of 100 gifts given by the beyond generous sponsors and an auction that left us all on the edge of our seats {okay, so some of us were standing}... it was mind blowing!!! All the proceeds went to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and from what we are told they raised $50,000 at the event to which 100% of it goes to research!!! I had the opportunity to meet cancer survivors and hear their miraculous stories of courage, warmth and above all their strength. The whole experience was amazing and all the little touches were remarkable. Did I mention that we got to eat dessert first??? I think the world would be a better place if we started doing that more often! Thank you to my sweet friends for sharing in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I hope we can do it again next year!

Be sure to check out Kristin's blog - she took priceless pics that totally rock!!!

Milk Duds were on the supply list... I PROMISE!!!

PS. I want to introduce the newest member of my scrap room... This is a one-of-a-kind Tim Holtz creation and I am so lucky to have on my crop table for constant inspiration! THANK YOU TIM!!!

Fellow scrapbooker here - been investigating you since CE - I did not attend this year - but many friends blogged, twittered and FB that you made it very exciting.
