summer trip to chicago...

Time with loved ones is ______________.

I really had a hard time coming up with the right words...
precious
hilarious
timeless
emotional
priceless
a blessing beyond measure!

The little moments, the little looks, the telling of old stories that
will make you laugh and cry all at the same time!

So here are our pictures...

These two guys have the craziest philangies!!!
Seriously, they need to start a club!

 Grandpa Ang's first selfie...

coloring on great grandma and great grandpa's porch...

Avery being 100% Avery...

Oh this kid...

"Mommy, my new name is Toothless Spice Cake..."

GOOF!!!

Try to find an activity to involve a wide age range of cousins to keep them
busy, entertained and happy...

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
Answer: Pearler Beads on sale at Mieyers!

65 years of marriage and going strong!!!

"Oh why thank you cousin Danny for putting that popsicle together for you

 S'MORES anyone???

Yes please...
"oh and can I have marshmallow highlights please?" - Avery

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!!!

Spending the 4th of July in Mount Prospect at the parade...
It was like walking down memory lane because I used to do the same thing with
my sister so many years ago!

I can't take her seriously with her new smile...

Oh the looks I get as a mommy...

I had a request...
I wanted to learn how to make Grandma's famous Italian Lemon Cookies!!!
I have tried before, failed miserably when they ended up closer to hockey pucks than delicious cookies!
So... after a quick trip to the Jewel we were making cookies!
Now in all fairness, these gems have a sweet frosting that takes FOREVER to dry in IL
{side note: in AZ, they are ready in an hour - ahhhh, the power of humidity!!!}

The girls took turns which worked out great and equaled priceless
one-on-one time with Great Grandma!

"Avery honey, I'm a messy cook... but even I don't have this much flour on me when I do it!"
- Great Grandma Bea

"I'm going to go play soccer while the frosting dries!" - Addison

Time on the porch with Grandpa...

"Hey, can I try?" Grandpa asked referring to my camera...
"It's heavy!"
And here is his masterpiece!

And then it was time for fireworks...
This is new for me and as you can see I need a bit more practice when it comes to
snapping pics of fireworks!
But, we sure had fun!!!

Addison wrote "love" in sparklers...

Then Mikey joined the fun...
I lost track of all the laughs and attempts but she totally rocked it!!

Alex joined the fun in making a few hearts...
and a few tomatoes!

And I made a crown...

Spending time with Aunt Lory!!!

We had a spectacular trip...
Thank you to our Pettenuzzo family for being so hospitable and for all the laughs!
Good times, good times!!!
