This morning started early, we woke up to a seal barking from Addison's bed {she has a slight cough, nothing too serious} so we decided it would be best to take a day and not do anything... well, maybe a couple of things:
I love this face...
especially now that she shows her little teeth when she says cheese!
Our conversation went something like this:
Addison: Mommy, whatchadoin?
Me: Getting ready to make Hot Chocolate Cookies for tomorrow
Addison: Hot Chocolate Cookies? Whatchatalkin' about? Mommy, can I have some MARZmellows please?
Me: You mean MARSHmellows?
Addison: You know, the snowman things... silly mommy!
The following 3 photos warm my heart to the point where I can't pick my favorite.
Is it the way Avery is looking at her big sister?
Is it the way Addison is trying to pick up her little sister?
Or is it the beaming smile coming from Addison just all lit up inside knowing her bestest friend in the whole world is awake, ready to play...
So we played and played and played...
Then is was time to get dressed to go to the grocery store for a few last minute items. So how do you take two princesses out of their castle and whisk them away to do "chores?" Let them dress themselves!!! Check out the puffy jackets over the princess dresses complete with cowboy boots... NICE!
Oh, and here is the other most-amazing-nest-thing-ever-which-had-to-have-been-invented-by-a-parent-who-struggled-shopping-with-little-ones-like-the-rest-of-us... the special BLUE cart! This puppy is fantastic... you select the cart, pick out the TV show for the kiddos to watch {we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse} and I peacefully shopped for 20 minutes, uninterrupted and both kids were strapped in, under lockdown.... like I said, FANTASTIC! Check out Avery's face...

Once the girls went down for their nap I noticed the beautiful flowers my charming hubby surprised me with yesterday... he gets me, loves me for me and spoils me!
As I was saying, the girls were asleep so it was time to bake...
and I found the recipe for these cookies on one of my favorite blogs of all time HERE!
The first batch of dough was uber yummy but after it baked it was super duper STICKY...
but batches 2 & 3 were superb! Luckily, the scraps from the first batch made great samples for the girls {okay, all of us}!!!
But SO darn good.
You know you have a good recipe when you can't decide which tastes better...
the dough or the final product?
Either way, the cookies are done, the kitchen is clean and now it is time for laundry...
Ha Ha Ha... I had you going there for a second didn't I?!?!?!

Oh silly mommy! That Addison says the cutest things! :)
Okay, Lady, been too long.... Over the Holidays I get to venture back to blogs and catch up. As I'm scrolling down yours I'm thinking you should seriously compete for mom of the year. I can't believe how amazing you are! Nothing but positive comments to say after spending all day, every day with your precious girls, baking, laundry, princess everything....you go, girl! I need some of your energy this year, so if you get the chance to hang out, let me know and we'll arrange a date!
