silent night...

is my all time favorite Christmas song...
I must have a dozen different versions of the song on my iTunes...
whether it is Sarah or Barbara singing it, it GETS me every time!

Which is why when my extremely talented and dear friend Michelle posted our Christmas picture slide show she found a fantastic new way of looking at a silent night... Please take a moment to peek at her work... like I said TALENTED!

So now it is Christmas Eve and we have enjoyed a relaxing morning just us girls. We ran a couple of errands, started baking only to discover we were out of eggs. Note to self, check and double check the ingredients before beginning the baking process... if not, this happens:
She enjoyed a couple finger-full scoops of the sugar-butter-cream-cheese mixture before I busted her...
We then made cookies for Santa
3 loaves of pumpkin bread {a chocolate chip, a raisin & a classic}
Tony came home early to find our littles, sound asleep... it's nap time but it is still silent!

Then it was time to prep for our Christmas dinner...
My side of the family typically makes a feast full of enchiladas, green chile stew, etc... it makes me hungry just typing it. Instead I am making a traditional dinner for our little family and looking forward to a weekend of nibbling all the leftovers.
We then went to church service and love love loved it!

So I will leave you with this...
Our sweet angels, dressed for the Jesus' birthday & my favorite lyrics of the song

Silent night, Holy night!
Shepherd's quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Christ the Savior is born!
Christ the Savior is born.
