an evening at the tree lot...

I am in ka-hoots with a friend of mine for an upcoming project and

one of my "to do's" was to visit a tree lot with the family...

Ahhh, the smell of fresh pine...

We were running around, having a grand time when Avery bit it hard, smack into the ground. She really was okay, in fact she dusted herself off and went back to playing with Addison but not before I captured these gems! Check out all the "tree bits"

Miss Avery decided she needed some quiet time with nature...

All in all it was a great little visit to the tree lot, a first for our family. It was a bit chilly but the girls didn't mind since they ran their little buns off the entire time. It was nice to come home to the smell of "Turkey Day Take Two" which had been prepared earlier. Tony got the girls cleaned up and I put the finishing touches on dinner. Seriously, coming home to this make you thaw out real fast!!!

After dinner it was time for Addison's homework...

And then story time with daddy...

As Tony tucked Addison in she said "Look daddy, I am snug as bug in rug! hee hee"

That just warms my heart!!!
