tornado warning...

SERIOUSLY!!! I know, we are in California and there was indeed a tornado warning. Good thing Tony was here because once the warning was announced I just went into 20questions mode - do we need water, do I need to gather blankets, where are we going to hide, should I wake the girls up, should I make hot water... My darling husband {calm, cool and collected} delicately told me to chill out as he turned into Captain Tornado Tony who researched the weather online, TV and tracked the movement of the storms, etc. There is a reason for his ROCK like persona - it's because he grew up in the mid-west and knows EXACTLY what to do in this sort of situation. I tried to appear calm, so I curled up on the couch with a blanket next to him but I had no control over my eyes... they were like a frog tracking a fly in the room... just jumping from one thing to another as 1000+ things went through my head... especially the list of stuff I just can't live without {children, SLR Camera, laptop, phone, water, etc} Then, there was an announcement that the warning had been extended {I ALMOST STARTED BITING MY NAILS!!!} and then again, my husband said it would be alright and for me to focus on the weather outside. So I did, but I've seen the movie TWISTER {side note: great movie with an amazing sound track!} and I know that the weather can be all pretty before it gets super dark... Then my husband reminded me that was a movie... wait for it... wait for it... what seemed like forever the tornado warning had lifted and all was right with the world.
This photo was taken right after I grabbed my SLR to put in the "must grab in the event of" pile. You can CLEARLY see she handles tornado warnings like her father! Both of the girls slept right through everything!!!
