Last night was our FIRST family halloween party at Addie's preschool. We all went as characters from Toy Story and gosh darn it we were cute!!! Addie was Jessie, Avery was Bullseye, I was Bo Peep and Tony was Woody. First of all, I need to give props to my amazing husband who went along with our costume theme and wore his cowboy/Indiana Jones hat most of the evening. I have to give him EVEN MORE props when we got there because we were the only set of parents who dressed up! At least we weren't the only adults dressed up because Addie's teachers all dressed up as pumpkins and they had different art projects for the kids in each of the classrooms - I was very impressed! They also had a photographer there who took pictures of the kids with this darling backdrop - can't wait to see those precious pics!!!
Sadly, in all the excitement my camera {mini-canon, not BIG-canon otherwise our family in Illinois would have been able to hear my screams!!!} took a tumble and unfortunately won't turn on. Mini-canon has been with us since December 2005 when Tony surprised me in Seattle with an early Christmas present. It has been to NFL Europe, most all of our family events, recorded countless silly videos and used by our own amateur photographer Addie. Each time she snaps a picture she would tell us to wave, take the photo, look at the result and in the most precious voice utter "Awe, cute!" Due to the technological tragedy this means the pictures will have to be added later on... trust me, they will be worth the wait!!!
UPDATE: I was able to recover some of the pictures from the camera...
