and all through the apartment
Addie's still up, eating a candy cane of peppermint
Avery crashed after bath time, asleep without a care,
Daddy's putting toy pieces together, some here, some there...
Mom's cleaning and wrapping, making such a clatter
While Daddy asks the question, "does it really matter?"
"Yes," she replied, "I will be done in a flash"
"Sure" he said sarcastically... "where's all my cash?"
Oh what's that sound, Avery sounds upset
A burp and a diaper change, she was really wet
Spent some time outside in the cool weather
It's been a croupy Christmas for Avery, pray it gets better!
