Avery @ 12 months...

It's my birthday!!!

This blog post is coming from me because I am a big girl now!!! Today I woke up a happy camper, giggling for Addison and Mommy to come get me. I still haven't figured out how to get out of my crib but I am working on it! Addison and Mommy made me a special breakfast with cinnamon rolls covered in colorful birthday sprinkles. I scarfed it down leaving no sprinkle behind and then slowly nibbled on my fruit. Daddy called from freezing Philly to wish me a happy birthday and then Mommy received messages from loved ones thinking of me. I miss my family and look forward to showing them all my new tricks!!!

Around 10am I decided to take a two hour nap, with my green blanket & seahorse. They are still my favorite nap buddies. After I woke up it was time to play with my sister... she is fun to dance with. I don't know all the steps yet but I enjoy moving my hips, turning around in circles and clapping along to the music. Then the M family stopped by for an impromptu playdate & battery hunt. We watched the game {bummer} but cheered on Daddy and his friends. I might be one but I am very proud of my Daddy! I just hope he thaws out before he comes home.

After another 2 hour nap, Mommy threw both of us girls in the car and we went grocery shopping. I wore my birthday girl shirt and received lots of compliments. I am glad I was having a good hair day! Mommy took a couple pictures but her camera battery died so she is going to have to wait to upload pictures from today.

Here are some little things about me now that I am ONE:

*I do NOT like elevators!

*I have two molar teeth coming in up top so I am sticking anything and everything in my mouth.

*I love climbing on the furniture... it is such a fun challenge for me and when my parents catch me I giggle and clap.

*I don't know the meaning of "No" yet...

I had a great day and now I need to go to sleep... because tomorrow I will be one and one day old!
