the first tooth...

This past weekend was a big milestone for Miss Addison. After lunch we decided to brush our teeth, only to discover that we were missing a tooth! Quickly we all started looking for the missing pearly white when Daddy discovered it on the carpet. When we cheered, Addison asked "does the tooth fairy know I am in Omaha?" Great question for a very smart girl! As her parents we were responsible for letting the tooth fairy know when we were back in town and luckily the tooth fairy got our message in time!

Back in December when her first tooth became really loose I made this for her using scraps of felt and old clothes. I love how this turned out, especially the precious pocket in the back!
So it was perfect for last night when it came time to read the Tooth Fairy story {the very same one that my mom read to me when I was losing teeth!}
Addison loved the book, Avery wanted to wiggle and giggle!
So after we finished the story, everyone went to bed and dreamt sweet dreams about sparkly, pearly whites! Then, a hop skip and a jump later something amazing happened! We all went into the girls' room to see what happened to Addison's first tooth and we discovered that the Tooth Fairy herself had visited us last night!
I love this next picture... it reminds me of
"don't make me read anything until after my coffee kicks in..."
or I'd settle for hot chocolate with two marshmellows!
And what did the Tooth Fairy leave for Addison???
Well, she wrote a special note rolled up on a pink, glittery scroll
in precious tooth fairy penmanship!
The Tooth Fairy was very generous to Addison, leaving her treasures in the form of 5 $1 bills!
To sum up Addison's first tooth fairy experience, let's just say she has been wiggling the other bottom tooth like crazy because she would like the Tooth Fairy to come over again!

Cheers & Blessings!!!
And Fairy Dust!!!
