gAAAAAAAArlic festival in 75...

75 minutes that is...

For you bay area locals you know all the yummy goodness of Gilroy, but for those outside of the area allow me to paint the picture. The aroma of yummy garlic greats you as you enter the gate, tents for blocks hosting different foods from garlic pepper steak sandwiches to garlic scampi to scrumptious garlic bread {Addie helped herself to Daddy's!} to garlic ice cream! We were adventurous last year and tried the ice cream... this year we left that to the new comers. There are crafters of all sorts lined up for rows to showcase new garlic top hats or jewelry or anything really and then there is the kids corner... I will get to that later. So to say the least it is a big festival with tons of vendors, so much to see and you should plan an entire day around it right? Yes, unless you are a member of my immediate family!

We had a busy morning, took a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOng nap and then decided at the last minute to throw ourselves in the car and go. We arrived at the gate as the clock struck 5:45pm and we look up and the sign informs us that the festival closes at 7pm! YIKES!!! How on earth are we going to do this in 75 minutes??? So... we booked it over to the food tents, grubbed like we hadn't eaten in weeks, picked up the traditional big-as-Addie kettle corn and scooted over to the kids corner! Addie got her tickets, hopped in the bouncy house with her sister, then rode a half a dozen different rides {sorry, no super duper roller coaster!} and then ended the evening with a water race with daddy and Avery.
It was quick, efficient and most of all super fast fun!
Oh, and then on the ride home Miss Addie said her "eyes were hot" and were much better when she sported mommy's sunnies from Target!

PRAYER REQUEST:
We were just informed that one of our family dogs, Floyd, whom has been with us 17+ years is struggling.
Please keep him in your prayers!
